Vegas Leg and Arm Vascular Disease

Typical symptoms of vascular disease include pain, swelling, and/or discoloration of the arms or legs. They can also present as wounds which we can assess for and manage depending on the severity. We will be able to evaluate if these symptoms are due to a vascular condition such as blockages or slow movement of flow with minimally invasive testing. We also have a body composition scale that may be useful for those with swelling giving data on water in the body, suggesting a lymphatic circulatory issue. Many times, however, there may be multiple causes of these symptoms.

Vegas Artery Disease

We evaluate the arteries of the carotids, kidneys, abdomen, legs, and arms. Artery diseases can be due to blockage, aneurysms, or spasms and can be silent without symptoms. They can also start at an earlier age than you would expect.  We screen for artery plaque buildup in the carotid arteries and the legs, check for abdominal aorta aneurysms, and we perform stress tests of the legs with minimally invasive testing.

Vegas Vein Disease

Varicose and Spider Veins are a common manifestation of vein disease. We evaluate these with ultrasound and can also evaluate the veins of the arms and neck with ultrasound. Typically, this is done to evaluate for blood clots. We can also evaluate for slow flow in the leg veins (venous insufficiency).

Weight Loss Program

Obesity is a disease that can affect many things including your cardiovascular system. We can assist in the journey of weight loss with various modalities including supplements, B12 injections, phentermine, semaglutide or tirzepatide.  We have a body composition analysis scale that provides data on specific components that may contribute to your weight.

Vascular Testing and Screening

We have a state-of-the-art vascular laboratory that will assist in the non-invasive diagnosis of a wide variety of vascular diseases. We would also be able to do screening for abdominal aorta aneurysm or for plaque or the beginning of plaque in the carotids and legs which is helpful in those with risk factors such as a strong family history, diabetes, and smoking.

Vascular Disease Prevention

You can be ahead of the game by doing things to prevent vascular disease or prevent progression of your vascular disease. This involves coaching, counseling, and management of risk factors such as your smoking habits, blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and sleep hygiene.  It can also involve taking supplements for your circulation and discussing things like travel or the use of hormones and their effect on vascular disease.

Lipedema

Lipedema is a condition of abnormal and disproportionate fatty tissue deposits in the body. This is usually misdiagnosed as obesity. It affects primarily females and can be disabling with limited treatment options. We can evaluate if you have this and try to manage symptoms and direct you to a plan to help manage this condition.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are a manifestation of vein disease and usually are not of a major concern more than a cosmetic concern. It involves injecting a solution directly into the vein. The solution causes the vein walls to swell, stick together, and seal shut, stopping the flow of blood  in that vein. As a result, the vein fades within a few weeks. For those who would like to have a better appearance when showing their legs, we would be excited to help you improve the appearance!

Blood Clots

Blood clots can happen anywhere in the body and in the arteries and veins. When they occur in the legs and arms, they can be diagnosed with an ultrasound. The urgency and management depend on where the clot is located, how much, and if it is in the artery or the vein.  The management usually involves blood thinners.

Erythromelalgia

This is a condition of too much circulation to usually the fingers and toes, resulting in red, painful, and swollen fingers and toes. It is not well understood and there is no cure.  We can evaluate if you have this and direct you to a plan to help manage this condition.

Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Enhancements

We provide youth enhancing botulinum toxin, type A injections.
